Support & partnership
We are seeking founding funders and partners to stand up the Association and bring the nation's heat community together.
Extreme heat is the deadliest weather hazard in the United States, and the field working to confront it has never been more capable — or more fragmented. A great deal of excellent work is underway, but it is dispersed, and its collective impact is limited by the lack of a shared table.
A convener changes that equation. By aligning the field, founding support does not just fund one more program — it multiplies the value of the work already happening across the country.
Foundations, philanthropists, and major donors can support the Association broadly or direct a grant to the part of the work that matters most to them. Each grant is shaped in conversation with the funder.
Flexible, multi-year support to stand up the Association itself — its staff, governance, and the infrastructure that holds the field together.
Underwrite a standing committee or focus area — such as occupational heat, equity, or the built environment — and the collaboration it makes possible.
Fund the research and synthesis behind a national, evidence-based report and its recommendations for the field.
Make it possible for the whole field to meet. See convening sponsorship for presenting, session, and reception opportunities.
Open the door for students, community-based organizations, and frontline voices through scholarships and supported membership.
Help close critical research gaps by connecting institutions with the communities they serve.
For philanthropy & major donors
Funders who support the Association join a circle of peers committed to confronting extreme heat — with a closer view of the field and the people moving it forward.
Hear directly from the field's leading researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.
Convene with fellow funders to map the landscape, align priorities, and pool resources where they will go furthest.
Regular briefings on how the field is changing and where support is needed most.
The Funders' Circle is reserved for foundations, philanthropists, and major donors supporting the Association. Participation is shaped with each funder.
The Association operates under the fiscal sponsorship of an established 501(c)(3) public charity. Contributions in support of the Association are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and are received and administered by the fiscal sponsor consistent with the Association's charitable purpose.
If you're interested in helping found this work or exploring a partnership, we'd welcome the conversation.
